Maine Coon Manor Blog

Welcome to my blog ''Maine Coon Manor".

The Maine Coon breed is the biggest breed of cat where the males can reach 15 kilograms in weight. They are known as the gentle giants of the cat population with a beautiful and relaxed temperament. Most people, including myself, do not realise how big Maine Coons actually grow too. Their development is quite slow and will continue beyond other popular cat breeds. The male Maine Coons grow larger than the females. Maine Coons have a life expectancy of around 14-15 years. Their colours vary from grey and white, brown and white and red. They have pointy ears, a beautiful thick but manageable coat, big paws and delicate faces.

To sum up Maine Coons, they are dogs trapped in a cat's body! Such a playful personality and chilled attitude. I am not the biggest cat fan but Maine Coons have changed my view on the cat species.

Maine Coon Manor blog will be a online journal of the journey of my two Maine Coon kittens including stories, photos and the ups and downs of cat ownership!

Enjoy

  1. The giant, greatest, head: in the feline world, the Maine Coon cat is the largest cat ever. It can grow quietly without being obese, and 14 kg, despite its impressive appearance, it gives a reassuring impression of confidence.
