Taking them out for fresh air
We were told by our breeder to not let the cats outside as they would turn into wild cats and destroy the native fauna. Buddy and Macaroon are strictly indoor cats but I believe they should be entitled to outside time and fresh air. We haven't found a suitable cat run for our background as it is quite small and feel nervous about letting out alone. Today we bought a harness and lead to take them for mini strolls around our yard. We tried them out this afternoon and the cats were quite curious! After 10 minutes they both requested to go back indoors.

Photo blog update
It has been a month since I have posted a blog entry about Buddy and Macaroon. We had a bit of drama after my last post about Buddy hurting his leg. To update, Buddy leg was much better after a week or two. He started to put pressure on it, run and jump. The other drama that occurred was the effect of change of diet on the kittens. We kept diet as close to what the breeder gave them as possible. However, the biggest change was going from and water to chlorinated water. This gave the kittens sore tummies and the runs. It was a horrible experience! It took them a couple of weeks to get over their sickness and they came bouncing back.
In the past few weeks a lot has happened. The kittens have settled in to their routines, they know when dinner is and who mostly feeds them, they have made themselves at home especially on the couch and our bed, they wake us up everyday at 6am on the dot for food, they are shedding their kitten fur so hair is everywhere, becoming increasingly affection to their new owners and enjoy cuddles, have found a sunny spot on the window sill and enjoy their massive cat tree!
They are fantastic company and are hilarious to watch. Here are some photos. Enjoy

A little bit of drama
Last night we had an cat enthuse come visit to see the kittens. Unbeknown to me, he was allergic to cats but couldn't resist cuddling and playing with them. Buddy in particular was showing off and was quite hyper active. He ran around the house, went behind the t.v and was play fighting with Macaroon. Towards the end of the night, Buddy was running around the house, and because he isn't used to floor boards he slipped and over extended his front leg. The poor thing was in pain and was limping. My partner Stefan wanted to take him to the after hours vet. Mind you it wold have cost a fortune. We waited until morning and Buddy had fully recovered. Despite the scare last night, Buddy is active as per usual. You think it would have calmed him down!
When I arrived home from work I found both Buddy and Macaroon chillin on our bed with the radio on in the background. I couldn't stop laughing! I wish I had taken a photo. Before bed I made a pasta salad for lunch tomorrow, and it became clear that Macaroon is a mini master chef! She sat by me and watched me cook! It was nice to share that with her.
As I lie in bed, the cats are full of energy. Lets hope they sleep well tonight.

Making themselves at at home
Buddy and Macaroon are definitely making themselves at home. They enjoyed lying on the couch when my partner and I are watching t.v or on our iPads or computers. They snuggle up to us and enjoy watching the football or boy shows like retro.
Tonight when I went out of the room, Macaroon meowed out for me and ran around looking me! That was the best moment!
We are currently looking for a cat tree for the kittens to occupy them and meet their climbing needs so hopefully they will quit climbing on everything!

First vet visit
Tonight Buddy and Macaroon had their first vet visit. There was no issues to be addressed, however it is always wise to have them checked in case there are things medically wrong. We have a seven day "warranty" where if there are medical issues the breeder is responsible.
I am pleased to announce we have two healthily kittens. They did so well at the vet and didn't make a fuss.
